Toxic Torts
Jenkins Martin’s attorneys have decades of experience in toxic tort litigation and have always been at the forefront of trends in managing and defending toxic tort, complex, and multi-party litigation. Our attorneys were among the first to represent multiple defendants in a joint defense arrangement. Moreover, attorneys in the Firm have effectively defended a number of cases in which they simultaneously represented between two and twelve defendants. Our attorneys have been involved in a number of first impression trials in the toxic tort field, including the first asbestos class action case certified in the country, the first large consolidated (non-class) case in the country, one of the initial fibrous glass inhalation cases and a very early cancer-phobia trial resulting from acute exposure to benzene.
